Dog and Cranberry Lakes are in Eastern Ontario about 25km northeast of Kingston. Being part of the Rideau waterway, they have marine access from both Ottawa (120 km to the northeast) and Kingston.

On the map below Fiddlers Elbow is marked with a red tear drop.  Fiddlers Elbow is the channel that connects Cranberry and Dog Lakes.
