My husband Paul and I moved from Toronto to our home on Carrying Place Road in 2016. For me, having grown up in farming country in Wiltshire (UK), this was a much longed for return to rural life. As we lived our first year on Cranberry Lake, I put together a book of photos and related writing to capture all the new impressions. You never see it quite the same way as 'the first time'! I've learned since then, though, that the awareness just gets richer and deeper with each passing year.

I thought it might be of interest to DCLA members so I am sharing a pdf version for your enjoyment! I recommend downloading it as you can then view it with the double page spreads as intended.
